Werribee will meet Southport in the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final at IKON Park. Werribee returns to the grand final for the second straight season, with the first bounce at 3:10pm this Sunday.

This marks the first time in club history that Werribee has reached back-to-back VFL Grand Finals, another accolade to add to clinching the first minor premiership in 19 years.

For the 2024 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final admission prices will be adults $20, concession/pensioners $15 and children under 15 free. Tickets can be purchased via this link.

Patrons purchasing at the gate are advised the payment method is card only.

The supporter buses are sold out.

Three buses, packed with Werribee Football Club supporters, will begin to depart from Avalon Airport Oval for IKON Park at 1:00pm

Buses will begin arriving at IKON Park at 1:45pm.

Post-match, the supporter buses will begin departing IKON Park for Werribee Football Club at 6:45pm.

PREMIERSHIP CUP PRESENTERS

The 2024 VFL Grand Final premiership cup presenters have been announced.

The cup will be presented by 1993 premiership captain-coach and Werribee Football Club Hall of Famer Donald McDonald, who played 58 games for the club from 1993 to 1997, if Werribee wins on Sunday.

If Southport wins, the cup will be presented by Southport Sharks Hall of Famer, four-time premiership player, and CEO Dean Bowtell.

TEAM NEWS

Werribee has made one change to the side that defeated Brisbane in last Saturday’s home preliminary final to book a second consecutive Grand Final spot.

Angus Hicks, who injured his hamstring in the dying stages of our last Southport clash in Round 19 returns for the biggest game of the year. 

Hicks, who is part of Werribee's leadership group joined Werribee ahead of this 2024 season from Richmond's VFL side, where he served as vice-captain in 2023. Hicks brings 51 games of VFL experience into the side, including 15 games for Werribee this season, where he averaged 15 disposals and four marks, and kicked a goal a game.
