COVID-19 has presented some interesting challenges. The Werribee Football Club offers a solution to one very important area - health and fitness.
No proper classroom? No exercise plan? No exercise equipment? No motivation? No problem.
Werribee Football Club has produced an interactive video series specifically aimed at getting your students moving.
These videos are to help bridge the gap until we can return to normal classroom face to face activities as part of our ongoing community programs in Wyndham schools.
Presented by current Werribee players Michael Barlow (141 AFL games with Fremantle and Gold Coast Suns), Daniel Nielson (Werribee player, ex North Melbourne 7 AFL games), Hamish MacInnes (WFC Community Development Manager) and Mar Gattek (WFC Multicultural Development Officer), it’s four teachers for the price of none.
There is no need for expensive equipment or a ballroom sized space to participate and you won’t hear the usual “I’m bored” complaints.
There are four engaging quarters of fun activities with breaks for hydration, all done in 30 minutes. You don’t have to be an elite athlete to participate. It is aimed at personal benchmarks and the most important one is having a go.
The series is available now and more are coming thanks to the continued support of our community partners CDC Victoria and Pacific Werribee.
