At Local Level: Weekly Player Report - June 11

During the King's Birthday Weekend eight Werribee-listed players competed across three different leagues. Discover their performances and stats in this week's Player Report:
Western Football Netball League:
Michael Selsby - Yarraville Seddon Eagles - Selsby continues to dominate for the Eagles. In the King’s Birthday clash against Point Cook, the midfielder gathered 31 disposals, which included 16 contested possessions, 11 clearances, 11 inside 50s and five marks.
Sam Azzi - Yarraville Seddon Eagles
Was named in the best Eagles win over Point Cook. Was strong defensively, taking 10 marks, with six intercept grabs. Offensively, Azzi ended the day with 16 disposals, four inside 50s and five 1%ers.
Geelong Football Netball League:
Emmanuel Ajang - Geelong West Giants
Ajang put up big numbers as the Giants were comfortably beaten by Colac. He picked up 26 disposals, at an effective 73%, which included 10 contested possessions, five marks, five clearances.
Gennaro Bove - Newtown & Chilwell
Bove had his highest disposal tally for Newtown of the season so far but they went down to South Barwon by 73 points. He gathered 23 disposals, five marks and six inside 50s in a solid performance up forward.
Charlie Byrne - Newtown & Chilwell
Byrne was named in the best once again for Newtown. He was solid defensively, with eight 1%ers, while also finding 18 disposals, six marks and three rebound 50s.
Olivier Northam - St. Joseph’s
Was named in the best as St. Joseph’s beat Lara by over 100 points. Northam stuffed the stat sheet in the ruck; with 30 hitouts, 21 disposals, 16 contested possessions, 11 clearances, seven inside 50s and six tackles.
Mitch Chafer - Grovedale
Chafer made his return from injury and was named best on field for Grovedale as they went down to Bell Park. The forward recruit kicked a team high three goals from 11 disposals, as well as laying six tackles and taking four marks.
Essendon District Football League:
Cam McLeod - Aberfeldie
Played his best game of the season and was named in the best for Aberfeldie as they narrowly went down to Strathmore. Playing off half back, McLeod had 25 disposals, of which 23 were effective. He also took six marks, with three intercept.
