Gallery: 2019 WFC Golf Day

Werribee Park Golf Club served up perfect autumn weather on Friday as 43 keen golfers fronted up for the 2019 Werribee Football Club Golf Day.

Taking top honours for the day was the team of Nick, Zac, and Luke McGuane and Daniel McGrath from Total Concept Plumbing, which – with a net score of 56.5 – beat home a combined club sponsors team of Greg Hughes, Bernard Perry, Pete Mayall, and Phil O’Keefe (58.875).

In the minor events for the day, Neil Whelan took out the putting competition; Daniel McGrath and Kevin Elers produced the longest and straightest drives respectively; Darren Hellman (third hole), Jim Proud (eighth), Luke McGuane (15th), and Kevin Leece (17th) finished nearest the pin at their respective holes; and the team of Brad Barrack, John Miller, Jim Proud, and Leone Brunato from Castle Chemicals took out the (not-so) illustrious “NAGA” award.

The club would like to thank the teams at the Werribee Park Golf Club and the Views Function, Bar & Grill for again making the day possible; Morris Finance for donating golf bags as winners’ prizes; and sponsors 1300 Ezycall, Aquatap Plumbing, Mossfiel Electrical, Bendigo Bank, Totally Workwear, Cheiron Healthcare, CSCG, Castle Chemicals, Findex, Godings, Locmans, Master Dry Cleaners, The Tigers Clubhouse, Village Cinemas, and Kwik Kopy Hoppers Crossing for their support of the day.

Thanks must also go to volunteers Andrew Palmer (Bendigo Bank), David Rintoul (Mossfiel Electrical), Darren Hellmann, Ash Moloney, and Mark Penaluna for their assistance.
