Werribee’s final interstate trip of the season ended in rough fashion with a four point loss to Sydney over Easter weekend.

At Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday, Werribee found themselves trailing by 38 points after a five-goal second quarter from Sydney, but came out firing in the second half to claw their way back, falling just two points short by the final siren.

A four-goal-to-one final quarter wasn’t quite enough, with Werribee going down 11.7 (73) to Sydney’s 11.9 (75).
