Expressions of Interest (EOI) are currently being sought by the Werribee Football Club for a High Performance Manager & Midfield Coach.
High Performance Manager
We are looking for an individual who will embrace the club's values and combine personal ambition and development with the club's success.
We have a proud history in the VFL. The 2019 season marked our second year as a stand alone entity and we will be an integral part of the expanded new second tier competition in 2021 and beyond.
With no competition in 2020, the 2019 season was one of great achievement for our club. We played in the VFL finals series. We had the most representatives in the VFL Team of the Year, the J.J. Liston Medallist (best player - Tom Gribble) and the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medallist (most promising player - Jake Riccardi).
This role presents a unique opportunity to be mentored and developed by Senior Coach Mark ‘Choco’ Williams, who has previously worked alongside and developed leaders within the AFL's high performance and sports science industry.
We require someone with a level of flexibility on start dates with the 2020/21 pre-season still yet to be determined and understanding the impacts of COVID. The club requires the HPM to be in attendance at ALL matches and training sessions and oversee all facets of strength and conditioning, including monitoring of development, wellbeing and improved performance of the playing group.
Other essential requirements
• Tertiary qualifications and completion of post graduate studies
• Demonstrated experience of 2 or more years in medical, strength & conditioning working within the sporting industry
• Must hold (as a minimum) level 1 strength and conditioning or appropriate qualifications.

Midfield Coach

The roles presents a unique opportunity for an individual to be mentored and developed by Senior Coach Mark ‘Choco’ Williams, his success in the development of aspiring coaches is highlighted by the progress of former assistants that have pathed their way into Senior AFL Coaching roles (6 senior and 12 assistants).
We are seeking a committed coach with experience assisting footballers achieve their peak. We require applicants that can attend all training sessions and have the ability to be at training from 4pm. It is desirable to have candidates who hold coaching experience over the past three years and those that have an interest in their own professional development
Essential Requirements
• Level 2 coaching accreditation
• Level 3 coaching accreditation (desirable).
• Experiencing using Sportscode will be looked upon favourably
• Coaching experience at a Regional, State or National level
