At VFL level, Werribee secured second spot on the Smithy's VFL ladder with Saturday's win over Footscray, while Werribee-listed players produced a number of standout performances across local football.

The weekend was highlighted by standout performances from Ollie Bridgewater and Myles McCluggage, another five-goal haul from Tom Webster, Liam Kershaw's dominant 173-ranking-point display, and Noah Tullio's impressive return to local football.

Geelong Football Netball League:

Noah Tullio - Newtown & Chilwell
Tullio made an impressive return in his first local appearance of the season after playing the opening 15 VFL games for Werribee. Playing exclusively through the midfield, he collected 33 disposals, 13 contested possessions, eight inside 50s, seven score involvements and five clearances as Newtown & Chilwell defeated Caidan Gardiner's Grovedale. His speed provided a spark through the midfield, while his ability to win the ball and drive his side forward saw him named in the best players.

Liam Kershaw - St Joseph's
Kershaw produced a dominant display as St Joseph's defeated North Shore by 172 points. The defender gathered 33 disposals at an outstanding 91% efficiency, 10 marks, 13 score involvements, seven intercept possessions, seven rebound 50s and a massive 173 ranking points. He played with authority behind the ball, using his speed and elite ball use to repeatedly launch attacks from defence. He was one of the game's most influential players and was named in the best players, continuing a superb month of football.

Caidan Gardiner - Grovedale
Gardiner continued to build in his return from injury despite Grovedale's loss to Noah Tullio's Newtown & Chilwell. Splitting his time between the ruck and forward line, he recorded 17 disposals, including a massive 16 contested possessions and five clearances, while also recording 33 hitouts and making an impact on the scoresheet with two goals and seven score involvements. His influence in both roles saw him named in the best players.

Ollie Bridgewater - Bell Park
Bridgewater starred in Bell Park's thrilling three-point win over Leopold after returning to a predominantly ruck role. He finished with 20 disposals, 34 hitouts, including 12 to advantage, nine intercept possessions, seven inside 50s and 143 ranking points. His work rate around the ground, combined with his clean work below his knees for a player of his size, was a standout feature as he produced a best-on-ground display.

Eli Pearce - Bell Park
Pearce was outstanding alongside Bridgewater in Bell Park's thrilling three-point win over Leopold. Spending almost the entire afternoon through the midfield, he collected 29 disposals, 19 contested possessions, 12 clearances and eight marks. His running power around the contest was a standout feature as he established himself as the game's most influential midfielder and was named in the best players alongside Bridgewater.

Josh Sanders - St Mary's
Sanders was named in the best players as St Mary's recorded a 44-point win over St Albans. Playing across half back, he finished with 18 disposals at 72% efficiency while once again providing reliable rebound from defence. His positioning and ball use continued to be important features as he helped set up St Mary's from the back half.

Essendon District Football League:

Massimo Raso - Deer Park
Raso backed up last week's excellent performance with another strong display as Deer Park defeated Essendon Doutta Stars by 30 points. Rotating between small forward and the midfield, he gathered 12 disposals, two clearances and three tackles while making an impact on the scoreboard with two goals. He again looked dangerous around goal and provided good pressure in the forward half.

Tom Cappellari - Essendon Doutta Stars
Cappellari was named in the best players despite Essendon Doutta Stars going down to Massimo Raso's Deer Park. The midfielder found plenty of the football, finishing with 28 disposals, 11 contested possessions, six clearances, five inside 50s and eight score involvements. His ability to win the ball and compete strongly around the contest remained a feature throughout the afternoon.

Goulburn Valley Football League:

Bior Malual - Seymour
Malual produced a tireless performance in Seymour's heartbreaking three-point loss to Echuca. Playing primarily on the wing while resting forward, he gathered 26 disposals at 77% efficiency and took 14 marks while spending no time on the interchange bench. His ability to cover the ground and maintain his work rate throughout the afternoon was a standout feature in a strong return to football.

Bellarine Football Netball League:

Archer Hanegraaf - Geelong Amateur
Hanegraaf played another influential role as Geelong Amateur defeated Torquay to move into second spot on the ladder with three rounds to play. The midfielder collected 23 disposals, including a massive 21 contested possessions, 12 clearances and nine tackles in a big game on the inside. His strength at the contest and speed away from stoppages were major features in another impressive performance.

Tom Webster - Newcomb
Webster continued his outstanding goalscoring form despite Newcomb's narrow three-point loss to Drysdale and the in-form Luke Preece-led backline. Playing as a key forward, he finished with 18 disposals, six marks and another five-goal haul to be named in the best players. Since making the switch from the backline to the forward line, he has booted 18 goals across his past four matches.

Luke Preece - Drysdale
Preece was again named in the best players as Drysdale edged Tom Webster's Newcomb by three points. In a scrappy contest, the defender collected 14 disposals, five marks and six 1%ers while remaining organised behind the ball. His defensive work rate and neat ball use helped Drysdale hold on for an important victory.

Western Football Netball League:

Josh Kellett - Werribee Districts
Kellett continued to build confidence in his second game back from injury as Werribee Districts defeated Albion by 25 points. The defender gathered 17 disposals and led his side for rebound 50s, showing greater confidence in his body. He also showed strong physicality and pressure around the contest, continuing another encouraging step in his return from injury.

Ovens & Murray Football Netball League:

Nick Newton - Lavington
Newton continued his strong form, being named in the best players for the third consecutive week despite Lavington's loss to Wangaratta. The defender collected 30 disposals at 83% efficiency, nine intercept possessions and seven rebound 50s while again defending strongly and providing plenty of drive from the back half. His ability to consistently win the ball back and use it effectively continued another excellent run of form.

Cooper Hall - Lavington
Hall worked hard alongside Newton in Lavington's 19-point loss to Wangaratta, finishing with 13 disposals, six tackles, a goal and a season-best seven marks. His tackling pressure was a standout feature of his game throughout the afternoon.

Foster Gardiner - North Albury
Gardiner battled hard despite North Albury's 14-point loss to Yarrawonga. The defender finished with nine disposals, seven tackles and four 1%ers, with his pressure and one-on-one defensive work once again standout features of his game.

Hampden Football Netball League:

Myles McCluggage - South Warrnambool
McCluggage starred in South Warrnambool's 29-point win over Camperdown, finishing as the best player on the ground. Splitting his time between the midfield and half back, he amassed 38 disposals, 13 contested possessions, six inside 50s and a goal. His ability to both win the ball through the midfield, while also helping generate South Warrnambool's ball movement from defence, were standout features in the victory.

Archie Taylor - Cobden
Taylor put together another strong performance despite Cobden's 47-point loss to the Warrnambool Blues. The midfielder gathered 29 disposals, six tackles, six inside 50s and a goal while again showcasing his speed and power around the contest. The first-year senior footballer continues to impress, with this marking the 11th time he has been named in Cobden's best players across 13 games this season.

Tylar Watts - Portland
Watts continued his strong season despite Portland's narrow six-point defeat to Koroit. The ruckman dominated the stoppages with 43 hitouts, including 17 to advantage, giving his midfielders first use and helping Portland gain the upper hand at the clearances. Along with his dominance in the ruck, Watts also gathered 10 disposals and three tackles.

Victorian Amateur Football Association:

Mitch Lloyd - Uni Blues
Lloyd contributed to another strong defensive performance as Uni Blues recorded a comfortable 67-point victory over Old Scotch. The defender gathered 23 disposals at 78% efficiency and took nine marks, once again providing composure and stability behind the ball in another strong team performance.
