Werribee will be looking to make it seven wins in a row with a trip to Moorabbin to face St Kilda this Saturday.

The trip to RSEA Park will see Werribee face St Kilda for the first time since the Saints returned as a standalone VFL club in 2026, following the end of their 17-year alignment with Sandringham. The clash will also be the first meeting between Werribee and a standalone St Kilda side in 26 years.

The previous meeting with a standalone St Kilda side came in 2000, when the two clubs met on a Monday night during the VFL's one-season experiment with Monday night football. St Kilda ran out 61-point winners on that occasion.

Werribee heads into Saturday's clash in winning form after a 20-point victory over Southport at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval last weekend.

The win extended Werribee's winning streak to six matches, with the side sitting second on the Smithy's VFL ladder after 15 rounds. Werribee's last defeat came 66 days ago on May 3.

St Kilda enters the clash in 12th position on the ladder with a record of six wins, six losses and one draw. The Saints are one of only two teams to have drawn a game this season, alongside Werribee's draw against Tasmania earlier in the year.

The Saints had also gone six consecutive games without defeat, including five wins and that draw against North Melbourne, before their streak came to an end last weekend. Chasing seven straight games without a loss, St Kilda led Essendon by 34 points during the second quarter at Windy Hill, with all signs pointing towards another victory, before the Bombers stormed home to claim a 25-point win.
