Werribee will return from its Round 13 bye to face Carlton at IKON Park on Saturday, June 27.
The clash will be Werribee's earliest start of the 2026 season, with the game getting underway at 10:00am. Despite the early start, it presents a primetime opportunity for the club, with the match to be broadcast live on Kayo Sports and Fox Footy.
Werribee heads into the bye sitting second on the VFL ladder and carrying strong momentum under first-year coach Dan Lowther. Werribee has won four consecutive matches, with the latest a 26-point victory over Brisbane at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval last Saturday.
Carlton enjoyed a strong start to the 2026 Smithy's VFL season and spent several weeks inside the top four, but currently sit 13th on the ladder. The Blues enter Saturday's clash on a four-game losing streak, most recently suffering a 69-point defeat to GWS last weekend.
The upcoming contest will also be the first meeting between the sides since Round 6, 2024, a match that proved to be the catalyst for Werribee's premiership-winning campaign. Following a heavy ANZAC Day defeat to Williamstown the week prior, Werribee made five changes at selection, including handing Jake Smith his club debut, while Flynn Young made his first appearance of the season before later being drafted by Carlton 12 months later.
It will also be Werribee's first game back at IKON Park since the 2024 VFL Grand Final, when the club broke its 31-year premiership drought on the last Sunday in September with a six-point victory over Southport.
