Werribee Football Club is pleased to announce Brady Wright and Fletcher Snell as the latest recipients of the Corked Player of the Month and Corked Volunteer of the Month awards for the 2026 season.

Presented monthly throughout the year, the awards recognise standout contributions both on and off the field, with each recipient receiving a Corked voucher to enjoy the local Watton Street venue, which joined the club as a partner ahead of the 2026 season.

Wright earns Player of the Month honours after a dominant stretch across Rounds 9-12, helping lead Werribee to four consecutive victories while establishing himself as one of the competition’s most dangerous forwards.

The second-year key forward began the month with three goals from 12 disposals and seven marks in Werribee’s 126-95 victory over Collingwood at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval, marking the fourth consecutive week he had kicked three goals.

He then produced the best performance of his career against Essendon at Windy Hill, booting a career-high six goals in the 174-114 win. Four of those majors came in the space of just 7:25 during the third quarter, helping blow the game open after Werribee had led by just 13 points at half time.

Back at home against Coburg, Wright continued his outstanding form in front of goal with five majors from nine disposals in the 107-48 victory. After kicking two goals across the opening three quarters, Wright put the game beyond doubt with another burst of three goals in under four minutes to start the final term.

He rounded out the month with another strong performance in Saturday’s 88-62 win over Brisbane, finishing with 2.2 from nine disposals to extend his streak to seven consecutive games with multiple goals.

Across the four matches, Wright kicked 16 goals, the most of any player in the VFL during that period, finishing ahead of Port Melbourne forward Kaine Baldwin, who kicked 14 goals.

Off the field, Fletcher Snell has been recognised for his contribution during his placement with the club while completing the final year of his degree at Deakin University.

Working closely with Operations Coordinator Sam Wharton and Operations Support Officer Callum Buckingham, Fletcher has gained hands-on experience across a range of operational areas.

Additionally over the past month, Fletcher has regularly lent a hand wherever needed, including assisting in the bar and canteen during home games while also stepping into match day manager roles for additional fixtures held at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval.
