Werribee will be looking to make it four wins in a row when it hosts Brisbane at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The clash is the second of back-to-back home games and the last before the Round 13 bye, with the home side not returning to Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval until July 4.

After an inconsistent start to the season, Daniel Lowther's men have hit their stride in recent weeks, winning their past three matches to climb to third on the VFL ladder at the halfway point of the 2026 season.

The latest of those victories came against Coburg last Saturday. After trailing by four goals at quarter time, they responded emphatically, kicking 16 of the final 19 goals of the match to record a 59-point win.

Brisbane enters the contest at the opposite end of the ladder with a 1-8 record, its lone victory coming against Casey in Round 4. The Lions were beaten by 17 points by Gold Coast at People First Stadium last weekend.

Saturday's match will also be the first meeting between the two clubs since their back-to-back preliminary final clashes, with Werribee defeating Brisbane in both 2023 and 2024 on the way to consecutive Grand Final appearances.
