Round 8: Werribee vs Sandringham (Away)
15 May 2025

After three consecutive games at home, Werribee is back on the road this Sunday for a Round 8 clash against Sandringham at Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
The 2:05pm bounce marks Werribee’s first away game in Victoria this season, following interstate trips to Southport and Sydney earlier in the year.
Werribee will be out to respond after last weekend’s defeat to Box Hill in the Beyond Blue Cup. Despite a spirited seven-goal final quarter, the side fell short by 16 points after the Hawks dominated the first three terms.
Sandringham enters Sunday’s match sitting 19th on the ladder with a 1-5 record to start the 2025 season.
They broke through for their first win three weeks ago with an upset over fifth-placed Footscray and have remained competitive since, falling to Carlton by 18 points last week at IKON Park.
The two sides have met just once since 2019, with Werribee cruising to a 76-point win in 2023. That day, Shaun Mannagh kicked seven goals, Michael Sodomaco slotted four, and Harry Grintell booted a career-best four majors.

The first bounce is at 2:05pm, with the game also streamed live and free on the AFL app and AFL.com.au. Click here to watch the game live.
