Werribee will kick off 2025 with four confirmed practice matches in the four weeks leading up to the VFL season.

The team begins its pre-season campaign under Friday night lights, facing Frankston at Belvedere Reserve, Seaford on February 21. The 7:30pm match will be the first opportunity for players to push for Round 1 selection.

The following weekend, Werribee will take part in the VFL Standalone Carnival, which returns for a third year at Ballarat’s MARS Stadium on Saturday, March 1. The annual practice match carnival will again see Coburg, Frankston, Port Melbourne, Northern Bullants, Werribee, and Williamstown feature across an action-packed day as preparations ramp up for the 2025 Smithy’s VFL season. 

In the third and final clash of the day, Werribeee meet the Northern Bullants, with the first bounce at 4:30pm. Six days later, the team will head to Deakin University, Waurn Ponds, to face off with Williamstown for a second straight year in with the match kicking off at 6:30pm.
