Jake Riccardi's Werribee Photo Reel

Jake Riccardi, Werribee's newest AFL draftee is settling into life as a Greater Western Sydney Giant after he was taken with pick 51 in the NAB AFL National Draft. Here's a look back at his short yet fruitful time at Avalon Airport Oval.

Jake Riccardi's time at the Werribee Football Club amounted to much more than just 22 VFL games. The Calder Cannons/St Bernards product followed in the footsteps of Werribee duo Josh Corbett and Michael Barlow in being awarded the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell-Medal as the VFL’s most promising young player, and then earning AFL selection.

His 38-goal 2019 campaign also yielded VFL Team of the Year selection (CHF) and the club’s Best First Year Player and Leading Goal Kicker awards. In his short yet fruitful time at the club, Jake has left a GIANT mark, and in Mark 'Choco' Williams' words, "Good luck Jake, you will inspire every current and each new player that chooses to play at the Werribee Football Club".
