A seven-goal final quarter wasn’t enough for Werribee, who fell to Box Hill by 16 points.
In what was their third straight home game, Werribee went down to the Hawks, who reclaimed the Beyond Blue Cup to bring the tally to six wins to Werribee’s nine since the fixture began in 2009.
On the field, Box Hill proved too strong, running out 14.9 (93) to 11.11 (77) winners.
