Geelong Advertiser: Werribee has eyes on GFL with places on VFL list set to open

Werribee football manager Mark Stone says his club “wouldn’t be doing our due diligence” if it didn’t look to the GFL to fill its list next season.

The Tigers break their partnership with AFL affiliate North Melbourne at the end of this season, opening more than a dozen new spots on Werribee’s list.

Unlike Geelong’s VFL program, the Tigers also have a Development League side, meaning they need 55 players on their list next season.
