Werribee will be boosted by the return of skipper Michael Sodomaco for its away clash with Coburg at Piranha Park on Sunday in the inaugural state-wide Towards Zero Round.
More than 1000 local, VFL and VFL Women’s football clubs will be showing their support for road safety on the weekend, with captains, swapping their usual playing number for the number zero.
Sodomaco will lead the side for the first time since injuring his hamstring in round 14, while Ryan Kemp, Darcy Bennett, Tom Boyd and Aiden Domic have been included on the extended interchange.
Defender Ryley Barrack is the only forced omission after suffering a facial injury in a heavy collision early in last round’s win over Frankston.
The 23-year-old underwent successful minor surgery and will be out indefinitely.
