Werribee will blood its 13th debutant on Saturday when 19-year-old tall Tylar Watts runs out for his first VFL match as the club’s 23rd player against Port Melbourne.
The Greater Western Victoria product played 31 games between 2017-2018 for the Rebels alongside current Werribee trio Keegan Gray, Aiden Domic and Scott Carlin.
Standing at almost 200cm, Watts has received his hard-earned VFL debut after strong form for Portland in the Hampden League, excelling in the ruck and up forward where he’s booted 14 goals in 12 matches.
Returning from injury to bolster Werribee’s engine room for the clash with the Borough is important midfield duo Matt Hanson and Josh Clayton.
Experienced defenders Ryley Barrack and Matthew Brett have also been added to the extended squad.
