The Werribee Football Club is thrilled to announce an upgrade of its partnership with KFC that will benefit club and members alike.
As well as seeing the iconic restaurant chain increase its commitment to the club to become a Gold Sponsor after four years as a Corporate Sponsor, the new deal will also provide 2019 Werribee members with 10 per cent off all purchases at all KFC stores in the City of Wyndham.
Werribee CEO Mark Penaluna praised the new agreement as a big win for the club on multiple fronts.
“KFC has been a wonderful supporter since 2015, so it is fantastic to have them not only boost their involvement with our club but also do so in a way that provides real value to our members,” Mr Penaluna said.
“As much as our supporters appreciate all our sponsors do for us, there’s no doubt they have an added level of appreciation when there is a direct benefit for them, and I’m sure there will be no shortage of those looking to take advantage of the generous offer from KFC.”
KFC Group Operations Manager Thomas Weaffer pointed to the two organisations’ shared community focus as key to the success of the partnership.
“We’ve had a long presence in Werribee through our Watton Street store, which is just a torpedo punt away from Avalon Airport Oval, so we really value our role in the local community,” Mr Weaffer said.
“We know the football club does as well, and we think the appointment of Mark Williams as senior coach for 2019 can only help build its profile in the community, so it’s an exciting time to be involved.
“We’re really pleased to be back on board and to offer our discount to Werribee players, staff, and members as part of our support for the club.”
KFC’s eight Wyndham-based stores are located in Werribee (Watton Street), Werribee Plaza (two stores), Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, Tarneit, Truganina, and Wyndham Vale.
Werribee members can take advantage of their 10 per cent discount by presenting their 2019 membership card upon purchase.
