Jacob Spolding

Forward coach

Jacob joined John Lamont’s coaching team in 2014 as a senior assistant looking after the forwards. Prior to joining the Werribee, he was a playing coach at Newtown & Chilwell Football Club in the Geelong Football League.

Starting as a five-year-old at Ocean Grove FC, Jacob progressed through the playing ranks, playing in representative teams for his club and his school, which culminated in his joining the Geelong Falcons and playing in its 2000 premiership side. He also played senior football for Ocean Grove and kicked 10 goals on debut.

After a year on the Geelong VFL list, Jacob moved to North Ballarat, where he played 128 games, among them the Roosters' 2008 and 2009 VFL premierships.
